Privacy Policy

monero.how is an educational website focused on privacy. This policy explains what data is (and is not) collected when you visit the site. The short version: no trackers, no invasive scripts, no profiling.

What we collect

monero.how is designed to work without collecting personal information. We do not operate a user account system and we do not ask for or collect your email address.

1) Basic site analytics (aggregate, privacy-respecting)

We use a self-hosted analytics system to understand overall site usage (e.g., which pages are popular) and to improve content quality. Analytics are cookieless and aggregate. We do not build user profiles and we do not track you across websites.

  • No cookies are required for analytics.
  • No personal identifiers are collected (no names, emails, account IDs).
  • No fingerprinting or invasive device identification.
  • No cross-site tracking.

2) JavaScript and site functionality

monero.how uses JavaScript to provide dynamic content and up-to-date information (for example, charts, calculators, and network data). This JavaScript runs locally in your browser and is not used to collect personal data or to track you across websites.

If JavaScript is disabled, some interactive features may not work as intended, but the core content of the site remains accessible.

3) Advertising measurement (aggregate only)

monero.how uses a lightweight, direct-sold advertising system. Ads are served from monero.how infrastructure and do not include third-party tracking scripts. Advertising measurement is limited to aggregate impressions and clicks, used only to understand ad performance. Full rules are described in our Advertising Policy.

  • Impressions are counted only when an ad is actually visible on-screen (aggregate event count).
  • Clicks are counted via first-party redirect links (aggregate event count).
  • Advertisers do not receive user-level data or analytics dashboard access.

4) Affiliate and recommended links (aggregate click counts)

Some pages may contain affiliate links or “Recommended Tools” links. These links may route through a first-party redirect on monero.how (for example, /recommend/… or /go/…) before taking you to the destination site. This allows us to measure aggregate click counts and maintain a clean, privacy-respecting setup.

  • We do not attach personal identifiers to these clicks.
  • We do not use third-party pixels or trackers in redirects.
  • Where appropriate, sponsored placements are clearly labeled (see Advertising Policy).

What we do not collect

  • ❌ Email addresses or account registrations
  • ❌ Names, phone numbers, or user profiles
  • ❌ Advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking IDs
  • ❌ Fingerprints or invasive device identification
  • ❌ Session replay or keystroke logging

Cookies

monero.how does not require cookies for its core functionality or for analytics. If a cookie is ever introduced for a limited technical reason (for example, a security feature), this policy will be updated accordingly.

Third-party content

We aim to keep the site lightweight and self-contained. Some pages may link to third-party websites. When you click a link and leave monero.how, the destination site’s privacy practices apply.

Server logs

Like most websites, our servers may keep short-lived technical logs to maintain reliability and security (for example, to diagnose errors or block abuse). These logs are not used for advertising profiling or user tracking.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. The latest version will always be published on this page.
