monero.how accepts a limited amount of advertising to support the project while protecting user trust.
This policy explains what we allow, what we reject, and how ads are delivered on the site.
Core principles
- User trust comes first. Advertising must not degrade the educational value of the site.
- Privacy by default. No behavioral profiling, no cross-site tracking, no third-party ad networks.
- Transparency. Sponsored placements are clearly labeled.
- Quality and safety. We reject deceptive, harmful, or misleading products and claims.
What we do not allow
- ❌ Trackers or invasive scripts (pixels, fingerprinting, cross-site trackers, session replay, “beacons”, etc.)
- ❌ Third-party ad networks or programmatic auctions
- ❌ “Privacy” services that are KYC-heavy or misleadingly marketed as private
- ❌ Scams, rug-pulls, deceptive projects, or misleading claims
- ❌ Malware, downloads that bundle unwanted software, or any form of user exploitation
- ❌ Aggressive popups, auto-redirects, or “dark patterns”
- ❌ Adult content, hate content, or illegal products/services
What we do allow
- ✅ Privacy-respecting crypto and tech services
- ✅ Wallets, infrastructure, nodes/hosting, hardware, and security tooling
- ✅ Exchanges and on/off-ramps only if marketed honestly (no “privacy-washing”)
- ✅ Educational sponsorships that align with the site’s mission
How ads are delivered
monero.how uses a lightweight, direct-sold advertising system.
Ads are served from monero.how infrastructure, using static creatives and first-party redirects.
- No third-party scripts are allowed in ad creatives.
- Ad creatives are typically static images (WebP/PNG/SVG).
- Clicks are handled via first-party redirect endpoints (e.g.,
/out/…), so click counts work even when JavaScript is blocked.
Measurement and reporting
We measure advertising performance using aggregate impressions and clicks only.
We do not build user profiles or track users across sites.
Details of site analytics are described in the Privacy Policy.
- Impressions are counted when an ad is actually visible on-screen (aggregate only).
- Clicks are counted via first-party redirects (aggregate only).
- No cookies or personal identifiers are required for advertising measurement.
- Advertisers do not receive access to analytics dashboards; summaries can be provided on request.
Sponsored content and “Recommended Tools”
Sponsored guides
Sponsored articles or guides are allowed if they provide educational value and align with monero.how standards.
They are clearly labeled, for example:
“Sponsored by [Brand] — Educational content reviewed by monero.how”
- Sponsored content must be accurate and non-deceptive.
- Final editorial review remains with monero.how.
- Link attributes (nofollow vs dofollow) can be discussed depending on compliance needs.
Recommended Tools sections
monero.how may include curated “Recommended Tools” lists (e.g., wallets, VPNs, mining pools, infrastructure).
Listings may be:
- Editorial (unpaid)
- Affiliate (commission-based)
- Sponsored (paid placement)
Sponsored listings are clearly labeled as sponsored. Acceptance is subject to the same strict standards in this policy.
Disclosure
When a placement is sponsored or includes affiliate links, we aim to disclose it clearly and prominently.
If you believe any disclosure is missing or unclear, please contact us.
Right to reject or remove
monero.how reserves the right to reject, pause, or remove any advertiser or placement at any time,
including if new information arises or if the advertising conflicts with our standards.
